Look North

Ten years ago, when I moved to my town, I joined a reading group and made a good friend. Now, she's left me and cleared off to Yorkshire!

I used a Tando chipboard house and fence, coloured them with ink and stamped with a flourish stamp. I made a hill out of a page torn from a book we did at the reading group, which fell to pieces. The numbers in the sky are an Inkadinkado stamp. I masked off the edges of the card black and inked through a stone wall mask.

I'd like to enter:
City Crafter chipboard
Time Out  picture - the home theme, the blues and greens and the triangle shapes (roof)
Creative Knockouts  friendship
4 Crafty Chicks The Great Outdoors
That's Crafty  mask

In addition to that bookpage being a decorative element I think it's also a nice personal touch considering the history between the two of you. Great idea to paint and stamp the chipboard piece - I will try that, I've got so many plain chipboards laying around. A nicely put together scene!

Marina, this is such a thoughtful card for your friend, with the text from a book you read. And the flourish on the house is just gorgeous. Thanks for joining us at TIME OUT challenges x

Awww..how sad that your friend is moving, but I know you'll find ways to stay in touch! Your card: heart-warming, especially since you've used papers from books that the two of you connected over! She'll love it - and yes, I think some tears will be shed (I'm on the brink, knowing what it's like to have special people move away).
